NitroXCross Pembrey

Last weekend was the second round of the Winter NitroXCross series. Hosted in a surprisingly sunny Wales at the Pembrey track.

On Sunday all of the team were eager to get onto the track. A bolt on practice is conducted in the first round of qualifying allowing everyone to familiarise themselves with the track layout and surface.

Qualifying was very positive for the NEMO team with Jon Hazlewood in P2 after some consistent qualifying runs. Steve Guppy in an impressive P6 and Dave Blakely in the P10 spot.

The C final was run first with a storming run from Winston Barnett allowing him to bump into the B final, Dave Blakely and Mark Morris both bumping from the B final to the A. A superb achievement for them both.

The A final was lining up for the grid, Jon Hazlewood and pit crew opting to run a 10 minute stop with the soon to be announced Bullitt. A very clean and tense A final was run with Jon and Milan switching between 1st and 2nd place. Milan just came out on top a second in front of Jon. Dave Blakely also had a good final finishing in sixth place. 

Well done to Milan for the win and a thank you to the Pembrey crew and the organisers of the Winter NitroXCross for hosting a superb meeting.
